Dave Update

I come with a heavy heart and bold confidence. I feel like we have seen impossible things this year, things that have both amazed me and leave me in desperate need of more of Him. This event potentially fits in both categories.

A week ago I asked for a lift-up request for my team leader Dave who had been sick for two weeks. Well, it's now been 3 weeks and we know why. After having test results run here, and then our medical insurance, SOS, sent Dave to Bangkok, Thailand to see some other doctors who were perhaps more qualified to diagnose his sickness. We found out last night that it was what they expected, T-cell lymphoma. I've heard it's the worst, I've heard it's a type of leukemia. I've heard that this probably means chemotherapy and if that doesn't work a bone marrow transplant. To be honest, I don't know much of anything about this and am trying to do some research now to figure something out.

I know that we hear of people all the time being diagnosed with cancer or leukemia and we shake our heads in disbelief and sympathy, but it's much different when it's someone you live across the hall from, someone whose only 2 years older than you (25 years old), and someone you see daily to pr and talk with. I said I don't know a lot, but I don't need to know a lot because I do know the impossible. We know the impossible. He knows our name. We know His. It's never game over for us... ever. I read the stories of people coming to Him and they were all healed. That's what we ask for now. That's what I petition for you to join in with us.  To see His name and power and Love be raised far above and for not only all of us to know and see, but for all these students here to see know and feel His love and power.  I am convinced of His love and I am convinced of His healing power. I long for His dream to be carried out of how this will be used for good and how many will be affected by it.

Please lift Him up - for healing, for comfort, for peace, for fulfillment, and for joy. He's alone in Thailand right now and pretty exhausted still. Some people from our company have been able to go and visit him and check up on him via phone and such, so that's very nice. Please make Him the priority. Second place, we also could use some Thoughts for strength and energy (taking over his classes), for increased faith and determination, of how to view this situation and how to share and shine it to students and co-workers, and how to comfort and encourage one another especially Monica (the other team leader/and girlfriend of Dave.) It's a thick time. I can see the Kingdom of light growing, but as it does the darkness also increases to battle it and we have seen it tangibly in too many ways. But He is more than a conqueror and so are we. He has overcome and saved the day and that is what we count on. We count on and expect Him to do the impossible each day and ask that you do too. Thank you.

Here's a picture of Dave for all of you visual people.
